Room to Breathe

I woke up with words flowing through my mind this morning.  Imagine my surprise to find the words to be a new poem.  It has been many months since I have written poetry.  I will probably include it in my next book in the Modern-Day Witch series.  But, until that book is finished and published, I will share my latest creation here.  Enjoy!

Room to Breathe

Dark thoughts running through my mind.

The walls are closing in.

Let me out, Let me out,

I just need room to breathe.

Struggle after struggle.

Wasn’t life supposed to be a breeze?

I can’t get enough air in my lungs.

I just need room to breathe.

Caught in the crush of the crowd.

Swallowed up in a sea of strangers.

The air gets close and tight.

I just need room to breathe.

Give me open spaces.

Give me peace and love.

Leave me be in this quiet oasis.

I just need room to breathe.

Ramblings of a Modern-Day Witch

Good news folks!  The third installment in my Modern-Day Witch series, Ramblings of a Modern-Day Witch is now finished and live in both paperback and Kindle versions on Amazon.com. 

Ramblings of a Modern-Day Witch is a compilation of essays revolving around different quotes found on social media or others topics that were laid upon my heart to write about.  I have also included some of my new fractal designs among the pages.  I offer my perspective on these different topics to give others something to think about.  I hope you enjoy it.

My Brother's Keeper

I just realized that I forgot to blog about my latest book.  My Brother's Keeper is the story of the lives of my brother, Jim, and me.  Jim was born with brain damage in 1958.  In My Brother's Keeper, he shares what he went through as a child and adult and I share my memories, feelings, and experiences as well.  My Brother's Keeper is available on all Amazon sites in paperback and for Kindle.
